Project and Program Management is a science. Some refer to it as an art form. A project manager’s vital role includes orchestrating the seamless execution of a work plan by navigating through the complexities of people, priorities and unexpected change. PM’s are seasoned communicators, empathetic partners and native problem solvers.
Their expertise is in high-demand and demand will continue to soar as businesses recognize the value of effective project management in the delivery of critical programs such as digital transformation, new product introduction and Agile adoption.
"By 2027, employers globally will need 88 million individuals working in project management oriented roles, which represents a 33% growth in the number of new jobs. 8.8 million of these jobs will be in the United States." (Project Management Job Growth and Talent Gap 2017–2027, PMI, 2017).
Organizations that invest in project management talent increase their project success rate to 92%!
Our vision for TalentCheetah was incepted when our Founder, Rebecca Medina, resigned from the high-technology company she was employed with for nearly two decades. Though she was flourishing in her senior leadership role, having recently started a family, she struggled with burnout and work-life balance.
In pursuit of more flexible and diverse project roles, she began working with Silicon Valley tech clients as an independent project consultant, doing business as Mobile Program Management.
Once exposed to the freedom and autonomy of freelance work, she knew she could never return to traditional employment. However, she discovered a major impediment in her quest for new clients: Market Fragmentation.
Existing sourcing solutions, such as job boards, staffing agencies, recruiting firms and one-size-fits all competitor online marketplaces are time-consuming, inefficient and yield mediocre results. Likewise, without a single reliable source for hiring quality project experts, businesses invest valuable time and money in an exhausting and often futile talent acquisition process.
THERE HAD TO BE A BETTER WAY!
It became our MISSION to build a robust technology-driven marketplace that bridges the gap between organizations in need of temporary project experts and experienced professionals seeking a flexible alternative to traditional employment.
Incorporated in 2021 and headquartered in Northern California’s Silicon Valley, TalentCheetah is the first and only US talent marketplace dedicated exclusively to Project and Program Management. Whether you are a career consultant, a full-time employee seeking supplemental work, or ready to jump into freelancing for the first time, TalentCheetah is your trusted partner.
Our platform was launched because we recognized that there had to be a faster, easier and more cost-effective way for hiring orgs and project professionals to find and work with one another.
We cordially invite you to join our rapidly growing community of innovative people improving our world: one successful project at a time.

Hear from Laura
With over 30 years of management consulting experience, Laura brings her deep knowledge and consulting expertise to her role as Strategic Advisor.
Laura’s passion for helping others led her to notice a trend in 2016: as the world was changing, experienced professionals were building their own freelance and consulting businesses in record numbers. However, some people were struggling, becoming frustrated, and at times, giving up. Laura decided to leverage her consulting experience and pivoted her existing business to focus on helping independent workers and small consulting businesses succeed.
Prior to starting her own IT management and project management consulting company in 2002, Laura had a wide range of corporate and consulting experience, including working for several top 100 corporations, 10 years of BIG 4 consulting experience, and building consulting operations for major corporations.
Today she is known as the founder of Laura’s Consulting Guide. Leveraging her proprietary model, The Consultancy Model©, and her program, the Consulting JUMPSTART Blueprint©, she helps independent workers clarify their focus and ideal client, while building trusted relationships that lead to successful client acquisition.
Laura is a keynote speaker, blogger, and creator of a popular YouTube Channel that includes videos and resources aimed at empowering the independent worker. She is also a published author. Her book, Project Management for Flat Organizations, is one of ten 2013 Small Business Book Award winners.
Laura lives in West Chester, PA with her husband, Dave. She is an occasional gourmet cook and a movie buff, most recently hooked on Marvel’s Avengers Series (but her favorite director is still Alfred Hitchcock). She enjoys traveling and shares her husband’s passion for history.
